Sabah 4D Payout Per Prize Tier: Big and Small Bets
By Ricky Lee · 16 October 2026
How much does Sabah 4D pay for each prize tier?
On a RM 1 Big bet, typical Sabah 4D payouts are approximately RM 2,500 for 1st Prize, RM 1,000 for 2nd Prize, RM 500 for 3rd Prize, RM 180 for Special and RM 60 for Consolation. Those five tiers are the only ones that exist in the game.
Sabah 4D, also known as 88 Lotto or Diriwan 88, uses the standard Malaysian 4D prize structure. There are five tiers and no others: 1st Prize, 2nd Prize, 3rd Prize, Special and Consolation. Any claim of a sixth tier or a bonus category is incorrect.
The figures above are the typical payouts attached to a RM 1 Big bet. The amount scales with the size of the bet placed, so a RM 2 Big bet on a number that lands in 1st Prize returns double the RM 1 figure, and so on. The gap between tiers is steep by design. First Prize pays roughly forty times what a Consolation number pays on the same stake, which is why the single 1st Prize number draws the most attention after each draw.
Special and Consolation each cover ten separate numbers, so the chance of a ticket landing somewhere in the lower tiers is wider than the top three, and the payout reflects that.
What is the difference between a Big bet and a Small bet on Sabah 4D?
A Big bet covers all five Sabah 4D prize tiers, including Special and Consolation. A Small bet is limited to 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize only, but pays higher amounts on those three top tiers. The bet type is chosen at the outlet when the ticket is bought, before draw time.
The two bet types change what a winning number is worth and how many ways it can win. Big is the wider net. If the four digits on the ticket appear anywhere among the 23 winning numbers, the ticket pays, with Special and Consolation sitting at the bottom of the scale at roughly RM 180 and RM 60 per RM 1.
Small narrows the field to the three top prizes. A Small ticket whose number appears in the Special or Consolation list pays nothing at all. In exchange, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize payouts on a Small bet are higher than the Big bet figures for the same tiers. Sabah 4D publishes those Small bet rates at its authorised outlets, and this site does not quote figures that have not been confirmed by the operator.
Both bet types use the same number pool, 0000 to 9999, and the same draw. Only the prize coverage differs.
How many winning numbers does each Sabah 4D draw produce?
Every Sabah 4D draw produces 23 winning numbers. That is one 1st Prize, one 2nd Prize and one 3rd Prize, plus ten Special numbers and ten Consolation numbers. All 23 are drawn in the same session and published together as a single prize breakdown.
The 23 numbers are the complete result for that draw. Three of them sit in the top tiers and twenty fill the Special and Consolation lists. A ticket is checked against all 23 if it was bought as a Big bet, and against the top three only if it was bought as Small.
A number can appear only once per draw, so a single four digit combination pays at one tier for that draw, not several. If the combination on a ticket matches the 1st Prize number, it pays the 1st Prize rate for the bet type and stake placed.
When the full breakdown is posted on this site, the Special and Consolation blocks are shown in their entirety rather than summarised, because a Big bet ticket can win on any of those twenty numbers.
When are Sabah 4D draws held and when do results appear?
Sabah 4D draws every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Draws run in the window of roughly 6:55 PM to 8:30 PM MYT, with results typically going live around 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM MYT on draw nights. The full prize breakdown is published as soon as the numbers are officially released.
Tickets must be bought at an authorised Sabah 4D outlet before draw time on a draw day. Once the draw closes, no further entries count toward that result.
On this site, the Sabah 4D result page updates immediately after each draw with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize numbers followed by the ten Special and ten Consolation numbers. Nothing is posted before official release. If a draw runs later than usual within the normal window, the page stays on the previous confirmed result rather than showing a placeholder.
Sabah 4D draws on the same three days as the peninsular operators, which makes Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday evenings the busiest times for Malaysian 4D followers checking several result sets at once.
Does Sabah 4D use the same winning numbers as Magnum, Toto or Da Ma Cai?
No. Sabah 4D is a separate, independently licensed operator running its own draw with its own winning numbers. Magnum 4D, Sports Toto, Da Ma Cai, Sandakan, Cash Sweep, 8Lucky and Perdana 4D each do the same. Sharing a draw day does not mean sharing results or payouts.
Sabah 4D operates under Diriwan 88 Sdn Bhd as a licensed, authorised operator. Its draws are conducted independently of every other 4D game covered on this site.
This matters when checking a ticket. A four digit number that wins 1st Prize on one operator's draw has no standing on another operator's result for the same evening. The ticket is only valid against the draw of the operator named on it. Payout rates are also set per operator, so the Sabah 4D figures on this page apply to Sabah 4D tickets and nothing else.
The prize tier names are shared across Malaysian 4D games, which is why the structure looks familiar. The numbers behind those tiers are not shared.
How do you verify a Sabah 4D payout on a past draw?
Use the date picker in the historical results section on the Sabah 4D result page. Select the draw date printed on the ticket, load the full breakdown of all 23 numbers, then match the four digits against the tier list and apply the payout rate for the bet type and stake.
Three details on the ticket decide the payout: the draw date, the four digit number, and whether the bet was placed as Big or Small with a stated stake. Check all three against the archived result rather than against the most recent draw.
For a Big bet, scan the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize numbers first, then the Special and Consolation blocks. For a Small bet, only the top three numbers apply. Once a match is found, multiply the per ringgit rate for that tier by the stake on the ticket.
4D Result Online is an independent results information service and is not affiliated with Sabah 4D or any other operator. Results and payout figures published here are for informational and entertainment purposes. Prize claims are settled by the operator against the official result and the physical ticket.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the highest prize tier in Sabah 4D?
1st Prize is the highest tier. On a RM 1 Big bet it pays approximately RM 2,500, and a Small bet pays more than that on the same tier. Only one number wins 1st Prize per draw, out of the 23 numbers released in the full result.
Does a Small bet win anything on Special or Consolation numbers?
No. A Small bet on Sabah 4D covers 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize only. If the number on a Small ticket appears in the ten Special numbers or the ten Consolation numbers, the ticket pays nothing. Only a Big bet covers all five prize tiers.
How much does a Sabah 4D Consolation number pay?
A Consolation number pays approximately RM 60 on a RM 1 Big bet. There are ten Consolation numbers in every Sabah 4D draw, which is the widest tier alongside Special. Small bets do not pay on Consolation numbers at all, regardless of the stake placed.
Are Sabah 4D payouts the same as Magnum or Sports Toto payouts?
Sabah 4D sets its own payout rates as an independently licensed operator. The five prize tier names are standard across Malaysian 4D games, but each operator runs its own draw with its own winning numbers. A Sabah 4D ticket can only be paid against a Sabah 4D draw result.
Which days does Sabah 4D draw and when are results posted?
Sabah 4D draws every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. The draw window runs from roughly 6:55 PM to 8:30 PM MYT, with results usually live around 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM MYT. The full breakdown of all 23 numbers is published once officially released.
