How many numbers does a Magnum 4D draw produce?

A Magnum 4D draw produces 23 winning numbers in total: one 1st Prize, one 2nd Prize, one 3rd Prize, 10 Special numbers and 10 Consolation numbers. That means 20 of the 23 numbers in any given draw come from the Special and Consolation tiers rather than the top three prizes.

The 23-number structure is fixed. It does not change between draw days, and it does not change based on how many tickets were sold. Every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday draw fills the same 23 slots.

That ratio is worth understanding clearly. Three numbers sit in the headline tiers. The remaining 20 sit in Special and Consolation. In terms of raw number count, the lower tiers make up the overwhelming majority of what gets drawn, which is why most winning tickets in any Magnum 4D draw are Special or Consolation tickets rather than top-prize tickets.

The 4D number range runs from 0000 to 9999, so there are 10,000 possible four-digit combinations in play. Of those, 23 are drawn as winners in each session. Twenty of them belong to Special and Consolation. This is arithmetic about the draw structure, not a claim about any way to predict or influence which numbers come out.

How much do Special and Consolation prizes pay in Magnum 4D?

On a Big bet of RM 1, Magnum 4D pays RM 180 for a Special prize and RM 60 for a Consolation prize. The top tiers on the same RM 1 Big bet pay RM 3,300 for 1st Prize, RM 2,000 for 2nd Prize and RM 500 for 3rd Prize. Payouts scale with stake amount.

Magnum 4D payouts are calculated from two things: your bet type and your stake. The figures above are the standard rates for a Big bet at an RM 1 stake, which is the reference point most players use when comparing tiers.

The gap between tiers is steep at the top and shallow at the bottom. Moving from 3rd Prize at RM 500 down to Special at RM 180 is a smaller drop than moving from 1st Prize at RM 3,300 down to 2nd Prize at RM 2,000. Consolation at RM 60 is the floor.

Do Magnum 4D Small bets cover Special and Consolation prizes?

No. A Magnum 4D Small bet covers only the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize tiers and pays more on those three than a Big bet does. Special and Consolation prizes are not included in a Small bet, so a ticket placed as Small wins nothing if the number appears in either of those two tiers.

This is the single most important practical difference between the two bet types. Big covers all five tiers. Small covers three.

The trade is built into the structure. A Small bet offers higher payouts on 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize, and in exchange it drops coverage of the 20 numbers that make up Special and Consolation. A Big bet offers lower top-tier payouts and covers all 23 drawn numbers.
