What is a Big bet on Da Ma Cai?

A Big bet on Da Ma Cai 1+3D covers all five prize tiers. On a RM 1 Big bet, the payouts are RM 3,300 for 1st Prize, RM 2,000 for 2nd Prize, RM 500 for 3rd Prize, RM 180 for Special and RM 60 for Consolation. Your number can match any of the 23 drawn numbers.

Big is the wider of the two standard bet types in Malaysian 4D, and it works the same way at Da Ma Cai as the name suggests: a bigger spread of winning positions, at lower top-prize rates than Small.

When you place a Big bet, your four-digit number is checked against every number drawn in that session. Da Ma Cai draws 23 winning numbers per 1+3D draw, made up of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize, 10 Special numbers and 10 Consolation numbers. If your number appears in any one of those 23 positions, a Big bet pays out.

Because Special and Consolation together account for 20 of the 23 drawn numbers, those two tiers are where most Big bet payouts land. A Big bet does not change the odds of any particular number being drawn. It only changes which drawn positions count as a win and what each one pays.

What is a Small bet on Da Ma Cai?

A Small bet on Da Ma Cai 1+3D only counts if your number is drawn as 1st, 2nd or 3rd Prize. It does not cover the Special or Consolation categories at all. In exchange for that narrower coverage, a Small bet pays higher rates on the top three prizes than a Big bet of the same stake.

Small is the narrower bet type. Your number has to come out in one of the three top positions for the ticket to pay anything. If it appears among the 10 Special numbers or the 10 Consolation numbers, a Small bet returns nothing, because those categories are not part of the Small bet structure.

The trade-off is the rate. A Small bet pays higher on 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize than a Big bet on the same stake. That is the entire difference between the two bet types: coverage versus rate.

What are the five Da Ma Cai prize tiers?
